Boycott of Oprah's Show
I received an email on behalf of my ANAD group from the Director of the film "America the Beautiful" which talks about America's obsession with beauty.
He wrote Oprah to watch her language and stop berating herself for her recent weight gain as it will make others feel bad. The response from Oprah to him is that she is going to continue to promote diets and weight loss.
Well apparently there was an Oprah show talking about brain surgery to lose weight????
I did not see the show myself yet that is beyond shocking!
Apparently four national women's organizations are organizing a boycott of Oprah's show due to this.
I agree she has done a lot for women outside of self image issues, yet to go on and on and talk about her weight gain like it's a horrible thing and to promote diets is really hurting a lot of other people besides herself.
She needs to do a show on COE and how to overcome that instead.....yet I know that wouldn't create as much sensationalism or money.
